Purling Brook Falls

Purling Brook Falls, or sometimes mistakenly called Purlingbrook Falls, is a horsetail waterfall on the Purling Brook. It is in the South East region of Queensland, Australia, in the Gondwana Rainforests, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The Purling Brook Falls are in the central part of Springbrook National Park. They are part of the Shield Volcano Group. Springbrook is south-west of Surfers Paradise and is part of the Gold Coast hinterland. When it rains a lot, the falling water creates a show that draws a lot of tourists. During these times, rocks falling from landslides can be dangerous, so barricades are put up to keep people from walking along the paths that go by the base of the falls.
