Boreal forests cover large areas of Canada, Alaska, and Russia. The boreal forest in Canada is a very large biome. It goes from the border between Yukon and Alaska to the other side of the country, where Newfoundland and Labrador are. It is more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) wide from north to south and divides the arctic tundra from the different landscapes of southern Canada.
