Stephens Lori (Vini stepheni) is a bird species, mostly a red-and-green lorikeet. It hasĀ green above and red below, with a large red face patch, bluish purple thighs, and a greenish chest band. It is endemic to the native primary forest on Henderson Island, where it is unlike any other local species. The most common call is a fast trisyllabic “tsililit.” Image by S Oppel is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 2.0.
