Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico
Nm Caves by J.J

Carlsbad Caverns National Park is in the Chihuahuan Desert of southern New Mexico. It features more than 100 caves. The Natural Entrance is a path into the namesake Carlsbad Cavern. Stalactites cling to the roof of the Big Room, a huge underground chamber in the cavern. Walnut Canyon Desert Loop is a drive with desert views. Rattlesnake Springs, a desert wetland, attracts reptiles and hundreds of bird species. This picture of the Hall of Giants in Carlsbad Caverns is taken without a flash using the Cavern lighting. It is the Cavern lighting that gives it the green and yellow tones. To save money Carlsbad caverns is switching to the greener tint lightings which changes the overall effect. Most people will take a B&W to use the high contrast, I used High Dynamic Range photography to get the same contrast and detail in a color image. By SamuraiCatJB is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 2.0
