The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument is home to a variety of Reef fish. The most common fish species we’ve seen is the striped parrotfish (Scarus iseri). The most often observed fish include parrotfish, surgeonfish, and grunts. Colorful reef fish – Pennantfish, Pyramid and Milletseed butterflyfish – school in great numbers at Rapture Reef, French Frigate Shoals.
