Luxor Temple is a massive ancient Egyptian temple complex from 1400 BCE. It is the name of the southern part of the Theban ruins. Karnak is the name of the part of the ruins that is a temple and is in the north. The Great Temple of Amon was built by King Amenhotep III on the east side of the Nile River.
